Position Overview: Full-Stack Developer

Core Responsibilities: 

• Technical Leadership: Lead development initiatives as a senior technical contributor with support from the team to deliver product enhancements that drive business growth
• Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and deploy enhancements and new features using our technology stack
• System Integration: Design and implement integrations with third-party systems and help determine optimal build-vs-buy decisions
• DevOps & Infrastructure: Manage deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and ensure system reliability and security
• Production Support:  Respond to escalated bug reports, system outages, and complex debugging scenarios

Technology Stack & Tools

• Backend: Elixir (Phoenix Framework), PostgreSQL, Redis
• Frontend: JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, LiveView, React
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions
• Integrations: RESTful APIs, PowerBI, Cal.com, Calendly
• Development: Git/GitHub, Agile/Scrum methodologies

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 6-10 years of full-stack web development experience with proven capabilities
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Elixir/Phoenix or similar functional programming languages (Erlang, Haskell, F#)
• Frontend Skills: Advanced JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and React preferred
• Database Design: Experience with relational databases, query optimization, and data modeling
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• DevOps: Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Testing: Strong background in unit testing, integration testing, and test automation
• API Development: Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Work Eligibility: Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship or restriction
• Hybrid Work Model: Ability to work onsite in the Tysons Corner, VA office a minimum of two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday)

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in SaaS platforms and multi-tenant applications
• Knowledge of web security best practices and compliance (SOC 2, GDPR)
• Experience developing applications with LLMs or integrating with Third-Party AI services
• Previous startup or high-growth company experience
• Interest in leadership development, coaching, or EdTech
